Young Woman And The Sea tiene fecha en Disney+
La historia real de Trudy Ederle, la primera mujer en nadar con éxito a través del Canal de la Mancha tiene fecha confirmada para su debut.
Young Woman and the Sea está protagonizada por Daisy Ridley, quien interpreta a una nadadora consumada que nació de padres inmigrantes en la ciudad de Nueva York en 1905. Gracias al firme apoyo de su hermana mayor y de sus entrenadores, superó la adversidad y la animosidad de una sociedad patriarcal para ascender en las filas del equipo olímpico de natación y completar la asombrosa hazaña: una travesía de 21 millas desde Francia hasta Inglaterra.
La producción que también está protagonizada por Tilda Cobham-Hervey, Stephen Graham, Kim Bodnia, Christopher Eccleston y Glenn Fleshler, está dirigida por Joachim Rønning y escrita por Jeff Nathanson, basada en el libro “Young Woman and the Sea: How Trudy Ederle Conquered the English Channel and Inspired the World” de Glenn Stout. Los productores son Jerry Bruckheimer, Chad Oman y Jeff Nathanson, con John G. Scotti, Daisy Ridley y Joachim Rønning como productores ejecutivos.
