El certamen comenzará el martes 12 de noviembre y se disputará simultáneamente con la temporada regular, con la particularidad de sumar puntos para la clasificación general, a excepción de la gran final que se jugará el martes 17 de diciembre en Las Vegas.
En la primera edición, desarrollada en 2023 y denominada como In-Season Tournament, Los Ángeles Lakers encabezados por su estrella LeBron James fueron los vencedores.
